Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: April 2010 Archives
Lately I've been feeling like I'm the wallflower at the prom, the third wheel, the guy still standing bereft of a chair when the music stops. And it's all because I don't have an iPad.
Everywhere I go on the Intratubes, magazines, newspapers,
and TV, all the peoples are talking about their iPads, and how great their
iPads are, and how awesome it is to read books on their iPads, and watch their
favorite TV shows, and listen to their music and on and on till I want to
scream. Not because I hate the iPad, au contraire, I'm jealous because I don't
have mine. See, I held out for the 3G version and now I have to listen to
everyone that got the WiFi version go on about their iPads. Oh, but just you
wait. Soon, so very, very soon, I'm gonna write reams and reams about the 3G
iPad and how cool it is to spend many an hour whiling away my time surfing the
web with something that isn't the size of a deck of cards. Well, that could
describe my desktop computer. Or my laptop for that matter. But the iPad will be completely
different from those old dinosaurs.
Really.
